The 10th year of the continuing education program “Translational Research and Medicine: From Idea to Product” kicked off with a festive event. In addition to the certificate award ceremony for the graduates of the 8th year, an inspiring keynote speech and a subsequent get-together provided an opportunity for exchange, networking, and new ideas.
In our first TRAIN Academy Keynote Lecture of 2025, Daniel Keppeler explained how optical cochlear implants could fundamentally revolutionize the hearing perception of deaf and hearing-impaired people. He showed the groundbreaking technology behind it, which will significantly enhance the quality of hearing with an implant.
Last week, our TRAIN Academy participants had the opportunity to visit Octapharma's production site in Springe, near Hannover. Octapharma is the world's largest manufacturer of human proteins.
