Our next TRAIN Academy Keynote Lecture will explore the legal framework surrounding AI in research. Professor Fabian Schmieder from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts will provide us with a comprehensive overview of this topic.
AI has become an indispensable tool in research, laboratories, and clinical settings. However, depending on the application scenario, researchers sometimes operate within a narrow legal framework. In addition to data protection, which is heavily influenced by the GDPR, the use of AI is shaped by the brand-new provisions of the European AI Act, as well as traditional areas such as copyright law and liability for research results toward third-party funders.
We warmly invite everyone interested to attend!
