Participants of the TRAIN Academy received first-hand insights into industrial research at Evotec in Göttingen.

The company was co-founded by Nobel laureate Prof. Manfred Eigen in 1993. Since then, it has stood for innovation in drug discovery to develop life-changing medicines.
After a warm welcome, we were introduced to various divisions of the company, including high-throughput and high-resolution transcriptomics and the multi-omics data analysis platform PanHunter. Furthermore, we gained a valuable impression of Evotec’s drug development for kidney disease.

A particular highlight was the tour of the laboratories in the fields of transcriptomics and molecular and cell biology, where state-of-the-art technology is used.
At the closing get-together, we had another opportunity to interact directly with Evotec’s employees. For us, this was something truly special. A visit on equal footing, so to speak.

Many thanks to the Evotec’s site management, Florian Tegeler and Ursula Hoffmann, including their contributing teams. We appreciate the openness with which Evotec was introduced to us, the patience with which our questions were answered and the excellent organization of the day which will surely remain in the memories of all participants for a long time to come.
All in all, a day full of lasting impressions!
