✨ What a fantastic TRAIN Summer Party! 🎉
Despite a cloudy sky, the atmosphere was wonderful and the good vibes more than made up for the missing sunshine.

At first, Dr. Philippe Vollmer Barbosa gave an inspiring deep‑dive into the iGUARD project. This translation project involves two TRAIN partner institutions, Hannover Medical School and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine (ITEM) and aims to develop innovative inhalable RNA-based therapeutics for the treatment of viral respiratory diseases. Its unique approach allows therapeutic agents to be delivered directly to the lungs while remaining highly adaptable to emerging viral variants. In doing so, the project makes a significant contribution to addressing both current and future infectious disease threats. Philippes presentation sparked huge interest. There were a lot of questions from the audience and lively discussions continued long after the slides ended. 💡🔍

Later, we all gathered in the lobby & garden at TWINCORE for the social part of the evening. Barbecue, cold drinks and snacks set the perfect backdrop for networking and swapping ideas on the latest trends in the Life‑Science sector. We were thrilled to welcome both familiar faces and lots of new ones. 🤝🧬

Thank you very much to everyone who came and made the TRAIN summer party such a great event. Further we want to thank our colleagues from TWINCORE who helped make this celebration possible, your support and effort turned a simple gathering into a memorable event.
